What is PON, PON Standard and FTTX Solution?

Passive Optical Network (PON) is a P2MP network architecture built on unpowered optical splitters to enable a single fiber to serve up to 256 subscribers. PON consists of Optical Line Terminal (OLT), Optical Distribution Network (ODN) and Optical Network Terminal (ONT); OLT and ONT belong to active part, whereas ODN is passive part. FTTX five traditional application scenarios: FTTH -SFU/HGU/ for Home, FTTR - Fiber to the room, FTTB -Fiber to the buildin, FTTM- PTP 1588V2 transfer through PON, POL Campus Application.
